
HUMANITY FIRST INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTES PALLIATIVE TO NON MUSLIMS IN OJOKORO LCDA
In a bid to cushion the effect of the lockdown in Lagos state, the Humanity First International under the auspices of Ahmadiyya Muslims Juma'at Nigeria, has distributed food palliative to resident of Ahmadiyya, under Ojokoro LCDA.
In his word the Amir, Alhaji Aderenle Fashola who was represented by the deputy Amir, Alhaji Mufadhil Bankole said the move was to support the state and local government palliative for the vulnerable in the society.
Alhaji Bankole also reminded residents to play their role by obeying governments directives to stay home and be safe not forgetting use of face mask and hand washing.
The deputy Amir also commended journalists who were also part of the group informing citizens on updates of the Coronavirus pandemic, as some palliatives were also presented to the NUJ through its chairman.
In his remark, the NUJ chairman Lagos, Alhaji Quasim Akinreti appreciated the gesture from the organization to its members stating that the unions relationship with the Juma'at will wax stronger.
Some of the beneficiaries, thanked the organization stating that they were worry about the closure of the major market in the area for the remains period of the lockdown and this palliative came at the right time.
Over five hundred Christian and Muslim families in the area got the food palliatives which includes, rice, bean, garri and noodles and the elderly were given special packages.
